Bike is Your Best Friend Living in Sendai

如果沒有記錯，從宿舍到學校的距離大約一公里左右。

If I remember correctly, from dormitory to school (Kawauchi Campus) is around 1km.

雖然附近有公車站，但是沒有直達學校的車。不過學期間學校有提供免費接駁車，可以到不同校區。當然也可以選擇步行（走到川內校區約二十至三十分鐘）或者像是大部分的學生騎腳踏車或機車到學校。仙台讓人感到親切的地方就是，機車還蠻常見的。

Though there is a bus stop outside the dormitory they didn't pass through Kawauchi Campus. But school dose provide shuttle buses to every campus during terms. Also you can choose walking to school (around 20~30 min), or like most of people ride a bike/motorcycle. It's surprisingly common seeing people riding motorcycle in Sendai. Just remind me how similar is it in Taiwan (but traffic suck in Taiwan) .

以通勤來講選擇蠻多其，若想省錢可以步行或者搭校車，但是考慮到市區內的交通就不得不做出選擇。學生身分可以購買月票，市內公車一個月5,000円，市內公車+地鐵10,000円。由於宿舍外面的公車站（東北福祉大前）沒有到川內校區，而且目前仙台市內的地鐵只有一條，另一條還在蓋，整體來說使用機率其實不是很大。如果真的要搭公車建議可以買預付車票（有1,000円、2,000円、5,000円，會多送一點金額，比起每次搭每次都要投錢方便）。最好的交通方式還是推薦腳踏車，機動性高騎到市中心也才三十分鐘。二手自行車4,000円到6,000円左右，再加上登錄500円，就算是新車便宜的大約10,000円多一點，騎半年到一年平均下來很划算。

If you plan to go to downtown student can buy monthly pass (5,000 yen for city bus or 10,000 yen for bus+subway). But the best solution of transportation must be the bicycle. Second handed cost 4,000 to 6,000 yen, and the new one is just a little bit more than 10,000 yen. You need to pay extra 500 yen to register for safety number. This is much cheaper than the pass. If you need to take city bus, you can consider buying prepaid pass (1,000 yen, 2,000 yen and 5,000 yen). This can keep you away for finding coins every time :)

宿舍附近的二手車店，新生資料裡面會附上一些店家資訊。當然也可以從国際交流会館宿舍的告示欄上看看有沒有人要出售，或者在出國前先打聽一下同校或同鄉的人有沒有人因為回國待處理的舊物。

When you get your new student's information files, they will show some bike store nearby. But you can also find information at International House's Bulletin Board (not University House), or ask anyone you know!

做個守法人登陸買來的腳踏車吧。雖然我到現在還是搞不太清楚到底有什麼用(大概是被偷發現是贓貨的話會通知原來的車主，反過來說當你的車亂停被拖走也會被要求罰款？)。
總之買到車子啦，有了他在仙台真的是很方便呢，整個就是很健康的通勤生活啊。

Anyway I got my bike and it's really convenience having one.

我在仙台最常用到的就是腳踏車跟雙腳，公車多半是雨天或者真的很懶的走去市中心的時候才用。從宿舍到市中心大約走一個小時吧，快的話五十分鐘左右。反正出國之後都變得很會走。

In daily life I seldom take buses. Even when I went to downtown I walk (excect raining day or I felt very lazy). It took a hour walk to downtown but you won't really feel that long though.
